Our first trip to Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle this year. We decided to go on a weekday to avoid the large crowds...but that didn't work out like we planned. It was still a nice trip, and the weather was perfect. A lot of time was spent at the Raptor Show. It was just incredible watching those magnificent birds performing, and the falcons are sooo fast! The butterfly exhibit opened that day also, so we spent a lot time there too. There is a huge variety of butterflies, and we tried to see them all! Here are a few examples...
Of course, no trip to the zoo can be complete without lions or tigers or bears!
